This site is run by Brian Rawls-McQuillan to share the children's book Honey Badger Has a Heart. This page explains what it collects and what happens to it.

What is collected

Only what you type into the mailing list form: your email address, and optionally the category you select (parent or grandparent, teacher or librarian, bookseller, or press). Nothing else is requested and nothing is required beyond the email address itself.

There are no advertising trackers, no analytics cookies, and no third-party pixels on this site.

How it is used

To send occasional email about new books, signed copies, and school or bookstore visits. The category you choose is used only to avoid sending you things that are irrelevant to you. Your address is never sold, rented, or shared with anyone for their own marketing.

Where it is stored

Form submissions are received and stored by Netlify, which hosts this site, on servers in the United States. Netlify processes this data on my behalf.

How long it is kept

Until you ask to be removed, or until the mailing list is discontinued. If you unsubscribe, your address is deleted rather than suppressed.

Your choices

You can ask at any time to see what is held about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Email [YOUR EMAIL] and it will be handled. Depending on where you live, you may have these rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, or state privacy laws such as Georgia's.

Children

Although this site is about a book for children, it is written for the adults who buy and read it to them. The mailing list is intended for adults, and information is not knowingly collected from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted an email address, contact me and it will be deleted.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
